Czech band called The Survivors is composed of Jiří Slavík (piano, keyboards, saxophone, guitar, lead vocal), Jiří Levíček (keyboards, melodica, clarinet, vocals) a Jakub Tengler (drums, vocals). Founded in Prague in 2017 originally as Open Office, the band took their current name after their first open air performance in Saudi Arabia, during which the lights ramp had collapsed onto the stage. Their music is inspired by a whole range of genres – from Brazilian and African traditional music, to jazz, folk and pop. The band aims to transmit their nearly childish joy from communal music making altogether with hope, that their surviving audiences will in the end take them most seriously. Their first album entitled “Děti a rodiče“ (meaning „Children And Parents”) came out on Bivak records in august 2021.
